AKRON, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – The last bit of justice for a little girl now two years old, who suffered unimaginable torture at the hand of her “caregivers” at a Springfield Township motel in November of 2024.
38-year-old Jamilee Hunt from eastern New York State will do 55 years to life in prison on a child rape conviction and other charges.
Her jury trial was in April and she was sentenced on Monday.
Hunt and her boyfriend 38-year-old Jason Santos from the same area of New York were living at the motel when township police responded for an unresponsive child.
The 11-month-old was later found with broken arms, legs and ribs, a traumatic brain injury, and a broken clavicle, among other injuries.
Santos is serving a 55-year-to-life term on similar charges.
The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office says the little girl now has a safe and happy home.
